Fruit Moon Rising

This year's September full Moon is not the Harvest Moon (since it is not closest to the autumnal equinox), but rather the Fruit Moon (RASC Calendar) or the Corn Moon (Farmers' Almanac, space.com) as "such monikers were used for a full Moon that occurs during the first week of September, so as to keep the Harvest Moon from coming too early in the calendar."

This movie (2.5MB) captures the scene as clouds interfered with capturing the Fruit Moon rising behind the buildings, but a glimpse of it of can be seen. Note the receding sunlight in the river valley.

Twenty minutes after the movie, the Moon cleared the low cloud bank but by this time, the contrast was too great for a single shot, so a multiple exposure was required.

The next day I tried again but the pesky clouds were present again. Here's the best shot, with a salmon colored Moon looking like a giant Jupiter (there, that ought to get an Internet rumour started).
